The range of NGO activities in Uganda has, however, greatly expanded in recent years to include work in the areas of Children policy advice; advocacy on a wide range of issues including human and civic rights, integrity and accountability in public office; child protection and support; lobbying and research. Why do we need volunteers? Unpaid volunteers are often the glue that holds a community together. Volunteering allows you to connect to your community and make it a better place. Even helping out with the smallest tasks can make a real difference to the lives of young people, teenage mothers, and families in need.
