Finding and maintaining supportive lifelong connections for children and youth is an essential section of the work of Children’s Aid programs and significant supports of a less-privileged child welfare restructure. It is important that children remain connected to their circle of love regardless of their present life status. This supports the said children to connect with their families and maintain their culture, heritage, and identity. Child’s identity identified with the people they grow up with and the experiences they share with loved ones. Our aim is to ensure every child attached to the accountability families that ensures a safe environment in response that children grow and become adults. Across Uganda, Children’s Aid Implementations are employed to reduce the number of children coming into their care. We are doing this by diligently working with and looking for extended family and kin through mediation in response to support reintegration of the child with family members. Also this helps in protecting the child through desired care and support rather than a child growing in isolation.
